Huéscar



Huéscar has 8000 inhabitants and was founded in 1241 through the knighthood of Santiago. The village is situated in a scenery with contrasting landscapes; the desserts of Orce, the lakes northwest of Huéscar, the woods of La Sagra and the canyon in the direction of Castril. Huéscar is offering all facillities such as supermarkets, restaurants, bars, a weekly market, a swimming pool and shops. Since the Roman time, the village has manifested as an important centre of the region.
